Rock Type: Quartz-sericite breccia
Location: British Columbia, Canada
Description: Coarse-grained brown-red sphalerite in quartz-carbonate veins. The veins are host to a variety of sulphide intergrowths including sphalerite, Fe-sphalerite (Blackjack sphalerite), pyrite, chalcopyrite, and galena. The sphalerite grains are zoned and are commonly riddled with inclusions of chalcopyrite, galena, and numerous inclusions of a CuAsSb-sulphide mineral. The rock was studied for its copper, lead, zincpotential.
